Natural search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via non-paid search results. This type of optimization is often called organic. Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine.
If you are not on the first page (in the top ten), then it is unlikely that you will get any measurable traffic from your web site.

I concentrate on Google for it is the most important engine and the easiest to control. It is possible to rank in the top ten on Google for even highly competitive terms, however it is not an easy feat to accomplish. To do so takes training, logic, and a certain amount of natural talent. If your business or service consists of mostly local clientele, then I highly recommend that you focus on city and state specific results.
The major changes that I will make to your site are the Meta tags. These are found in the HTML code that is used to write the web pages. I will also make minor changes to the structure of your site, such as changing the names of your pages, the words that you use as navigational links, and the text copy (what the visitors read).
Please view this page for SEO pricing. In general the cost is about $100 per page. I do offer a package that includes extra goodies such as search engine submission and the creation of a Google analytics account.
I am working on updating this page to document the results of three SEO campaigns that I worked on during June of 2010. The first campaign results are for a local sign company. I optimized six pages, concentrating on 4-6 high traffic phrases for each page. All of the targeted phrases on every page ended up in the top ten on Google. Please click here to view these results.
