There are no hidden fees or surprises. After our initial consultation I will draft a work order that lists the services you have requested and what the total charge will be. I will then send you the work order for your review. A deposit of 50% of the total cost is required for me to start your website. The remaining 50% is due within 7 days of site completion. Your site will not go 'live', nor will you receive the files, until full payment is made.
I will barter with a design client for their services or goods on a dollar to dollar basis, as long as their services or goods are useful to my family, so please ask if this concept interests you.

MISCELLANEOUS
Cart services can be purchased individually or added to your design package. There are two types of e-commerce systems - static and dynamic. A static shopping cart system has shopping pages that are built with specific items on specific pages, just as your other pages are. They do not use a database of products for content. Think of it as a printed store flyer, where the user can't change what they view on the page. You can view a static storefront here. Static storefronts are a great alternative for low-budget sites that need an e-commerce system quickly with minimal expense.
A dynamic shopping cart system has pages that are created on-the-fly, like Amazon.com. The items that you view for sale on each page are pulled from a database of products. These systems cost significantly more, from several thousand dollars to six figures, depending on the size. I will be offering dynamic cart services using PHP and MySQL starting in July of 2010.
For static carts, I offer two solutions:
Javascript-based carts are seamless, meaning the user does not leave your site for any part of the cart process. The shopping cart and forms will have the same layout as the rest of your site. However this type of cart is based on 'cookies' so it can only be used for small inventories of about 50-60 items depending on how many fields are on your checkout forms.
Paypal-based carts can be seamless or non-seamless. The price noted above is for a non-seamless cart, meaning that the visitor will use Paypal pages for the cart and checkout series. You will be able to insert your logo and company name. It is possible to have a seamless Paypal cart, but the cost for me to program it will be higher.
